From breaking ground in 1951 to celebrating 75 years of excellence, St. Dunstan Catholic School has been a pillar of faith and education in Millbrae.
Ground was broken on October 28, 1951, marking the beginning of St. Dunstan Catholic School. The school opened in December 1953 for grades one through five.
The Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur staffed the school. Over the following years, grades six, seven, and eight were added.
When the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur departed after nearly nineteen years, the Sisters of Mercy from Doon, County Limerick, Ireland arrived to continue leading the school.
A new kindergarten classroom was completed, establishing St. Dunstan as a full K-8 school.
Major improvements including a new library, science lab, and computer lab. The office was reconfigured and ADA compliance improvements were made across campus.
